About Us

The Department of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Science and Letters of Igdır University was established upon the proposal of the Rectorate of Iğdır University to open departments and major branches of science within the Faculty of Science and Letters, in accordance with the article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 288, as a result of the decision taken at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 02/08/2017.

​Iğdır University Department of Biochemistry is one of the 5 departments opened in Turkey, built on the university's scientific research tradition. As part of the Faculty of Science and Letters, our undergraduate and graduate programs collaborate with colleagues around the world while educating the next generation of scientists.
